There are two main themes in this Year Two:
Theme 1 : Learning about living things
Theme 2 : Learning about the world around us
For Theme 1, pupils will start in Unit 1 by learning how to differentiate between living things and non-living things. When pupils progress to Units 2, 3 and 4, they would be introduced to three main groups of living things, namely humans, animals and plants respectively.
Theme 2 starts with Unit 5 in which pupils will learn how to compare and measure lengths and heights. Unit 6 will open the pupils mind to the magic of batteries. Ini Unit 7, pupils will learn about things which dissolve in water and those that do not. By the time pupils complete Unit 8, they would have known about push and pull.
